Pure Silver Thirugukal Hand Mill

A pure silver thirugukal, a traditional hand mill made in silver. It has a bowl base on four ball feet, a lower stone with a centre pin, an upper stone with a feed ring and a removable beaded handle. The bowl and the upper stone are embossed with Vaishnava motifs such as the namam, shankha and chakra, framed by twisted rope and beaded borders, and the inside of the bowl carries lotus petal engraving. It is a piece for a pooja room, a ceremonial set or gifting.
