Naturogin Vamuaaku Pickle - 100g

Naturogin Vamuaaku Pickle

Vamuaaku pickle, or Vaamu Aaku Pachadi, is a condiment from South India made with the leaves of the ajwain plant. It differs from your typical pickle with large chunks of vegetables.

Key Features of Vamuaaku Pickle :

• Made with Ajwain Leaves: The primary ingredient is fresh ajwain leaves, also known as carom seeds leaves, which contribute a distinct flavor profile.
• Chutney-like Consistency: Unlike chunky pickles, Vamuaaku pickle has a thick paste-like texture due to grinding or chopping the ajwain leaves.
• South Indian Condiment: It's a traditional condiment from South India, typically enjoyed with rice dishes like dosa and idli.
• Tangy and Potentially Spicy: The flavor profile is dominated by the ajwain leaves' warm, slightly bitter, and pungent taste. Tamarind adds a tangy element, and depending on the recipe, it can also be spicy due to chilies.
