Malabar Tamarind is handpicked, cleaned and packed in eco friendly pouch by farmers from Kerala. Its called Kodampuli in Malayalam.
Its also called pot tamarind or Imli in Hindi. It has a distinct taste unlike normal tamarind as the fruit is sun dried. Used in curry making like traditional fish curried in Kerala.
Malabar tamarind is considered good for digestion and has lot of medicinal values. Shelf life: over 1 year.
In Ayurveda,the spice is used in traditional medicines.
