Men's Sherwani
A sherwani is a traditional men's outfit from South Asia, often worn at weddings, formal events, and festive occasions. It is a long, coat-like garment that extends below the knees, usually paired with a churidar or pyjama, and sometimes a dhoti or salwar for a unique look.
Classic Sherwani: A traditional, simple, and elegant design with minimal embroidery.
Indo-Western Sherwani: A fusion of modern and traditional styles, often with asymmetrical cuts and unique fabrics.
Achkan Sherwani: A shorter, more fitted version with front buttons, typically paired with trousers.
How to Style a Sherwani
- Pair with a stole or dupatta for an elegant touch.
- Wear mojari/jutti footwear for a traditional look.
- Accessorize with a safa (turban), brooch, or pocket square.
- Add a beaded necklace (mala) for a royal finish.
