Description

Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale Masala Shev

The Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale Masala Shev is a popular Maharashtrian savory snack, a spicy and crunchy variation of the traditional shev. It consists of thin strands made from gram flour (Besan) dough, which are extruded through a mold and deep-fried until golden and perfectly crispy. The "Masala" version is heavily seasoned with a bold and aromatic blend of traditional Indian spices, giving it a distinctive tongue-tickling flavor that is savory and spicy. It is widely enjoyed as a standalone tea-time snack and is also a key ingredient used to garnish and enhance the flavor and texture of various Indian street foods and chaat items.
