Causes & Symptoms for Eupatorium purpureum

• Symptoms in the urinary and sexual regions are the indication for this remedy.
• Pains run upwards, and with them there is much shaking is a key note of Eupatorium purpureum.

Mind and Head

Home-sickness even when living in her own house, dull hammering, stitching, or boring left side

Great fear of sickness. Headache and constriction over frontal region.

Sick headache beginning in morning, worse afternoon and evening, worse in cold air.

Eyes, ear, nose

Red and swollen eyes with headache, crackling sound in the ears worse on swallowing.

Mouth and Throat

Numbness of tongue. Pain left side of throat, causing pain on swallowing, before chill.

Coryza, hoarseness, hacking cough, evening, cough, with soreness and heat in bronchi.

Stomach and abdomen

Nausea at smell or sight of food or cooking. Swelling and fullness.

Pain and soreness of abdomen is relieved with Eupatorium purpureum.

Stool and Anus

Pressure and weight on rectum.

Urinary complaints

Irritable bladder, Incontinence of urine and calculous affections is relieved with Eupatorium purpureum.

Intense smarting and burning in bladder and urethra. Constant desire; bladder feels dull. Dysuria

Constant urging, passes a few drops at a time, Burning in bladder and urethra on urinating.

Female complaints

Numbness worse in groin. Tense cutting pain two inches above left ovary, external genitals feel as though wet.

Neck and Back

Cutting pains, labor-like pains. Distressing pain in lumbar region before chill.

Weight and heaviness in loins and back.

Cutting pain in neck running from left shoulder to occiput.

Extremities

Pains in arms and legs before chill, bone-pains, Numbness of legs.

Soreness of bones, aching of limbs as if bones were broken, Pains come and go suddenly, very restless, but not better.

Severe shooting pains in left sciatic nerve 

Generalities

Symptoms are worse left side, and there is sensation as if falling to left side

Restless, tossing, moaning, unable to lie down. Excellent in renal dropsy.

Side effects of Eupatorium purpureum 

There are no such side effects. But every medicine should be taken following the rules as given. 

It is safe to take the medicine even if you are on other mode of medication like allopathy medicines, ayurvedic etc. 

Homeopathic medicines never interfere with the action of other medicines.

Dosage and rules while taking Eupatorium purpureum

Take 5 drops in half cup of water three times a day.

You can also medicate the globules and take 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

Precautions while taking Eupatorium purpureum

Always keep a gap of 15 minutes before or after meals when you take medicine.
